SILENCE. A serene city skyline; the calm river before it; a faint aurora in the sky -- an oddity this far south of the north pole. Then, an eerie HUM, like a trumpet, echoes in the sky boisterously. There is a faint glow in the distance, a split second flash. Then with horrid speed, a light like the birthing of a new sun, envelopes the land and rushes straight towards us.
